I own a TI-83+ for TSA. It's not that special. I only got it because the calculator robot needs it and it was the cheapest I could get.
Well, I'm one of those people who believe in the idea of having a single calculator: And not just any calculator, a TI-84+! Amazing.

Here's a picture of it:

(You can click on it to make it larger)
Isn't that the modded calc?
P.S. I have the same beliefs
I believe one should have more than one calculator. In fact, to reach the next rationem animi, I believe one should own at least 100 calculators.

[it's not a picture of me though >_>]
SO, my teacher replaced a calculator because it had minor screen damage (pressure, i think/tiny black ink-like dots under screen?).

guess who got to keep the old calc? yup, that was me!

The 83+ is the new one.
the 84+SE was my first, and has minor ribbon cable issues (3-4 columns of pixels knocked out).
The 84+ is, yes, legally mine! I bought it from my old school, and then attempted to mod the case so it couldnt be mixed up with my new school's few 84+s. didnt go so well, as I accidentally cut the ribbon cable partially, representing a loss in 1/3 of the LCD. it has KOS on it.
Nice! Though a somewhat troubled collection. >_> Your mod did succeed in distinguishing it though! Congrats on getting a free 83+.
How on earth did you get kos on there? Confused
I downloaded it from KnightOS.org and sent it via ticonnect? why, are you having issues getting it on yours? Ill be glad to assist you with it.

or, if your using a silverlink, it seems that there are a few issues with it. not sure what.

Edit:::
New Update!

I now have a TI-86! that makes 4 calculators. too bad I do not have a silverlink cable yet. I find the TI-86 to be quite powerful, though the different keyboard takes time getting use to. It also feels more responsive than any of my 83+&Compatibles.
Just doubled my collection, thanks to an end-of-semester dumpster diving find by my brother.

Not sure what to do with the Nspire, but I guess it's cool.

Sell it for an HP Prime? Razz

Great idea! Razz
elfprince, that's flippin awesome D: Wish I lived near colleges so I could do that myself..

Anyways, since the fire in January, I've been slowly rebuilding:

I'm looking at a TI-83 on ebay right now, but it's the ugly case design. I can't seem to locate much in the way of just normal 83s, they seem to link to a lot of 83+s. Hoping I can find a 2nd design 83 at some point. Maybe I should bother BW, see if he has any extras he'd like to part with. :p

This Nspire came to visit me in New York, as a matter of fact, and we spent some time debating the flaws and merits of having tiny alpha keys between the normal keys. I sensed that elfprince thought it was a more logical idea than I did. Wink
Still haven't updated my TI line any, but I did get a couple of new ones since the last picture!

Added: TI-86, HP Prime
You should totally put nametags on them!
That's a nice lot of calcs there! I especially would like having more color ones. I remember back when it was new I carried a newspaper ad for the Casio Prizm in my pocket everywhere just to admire it.
Last adquired: HP Prime

My favorite is the HP 50G.

I don't believe I've posted my collection here, though it isn't as substantial as I would like it to be:

1 x TI-80
1 x TI-81
2 x TI-83
3 x TI-83 Plus
2 x TI-84 Plus Silver Edition
1 x TI-85
1 x TI-86
1 x TI-Nspire
1 x TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition

My misses does not understand :/.
I think you mean your missus; your wife would probably be rather unhappy if you had nonzero unmarried misses in your life. Wink That's a very nice cross-section of the TI models; do you have any particular models that you're looking to acquire to round out the collection?
Haha yeah fair point!

I am on the fence when it comes to other models, especially those from the 68k/ARM range. The main reason is to minimise the distraction from the z80 line Smile.
