Wasn't it 2.71 or something not 7.1?
oh, yeah. I meant that.
Execute apps? might be useful
Use the last 30 bytes of the program to make the crash screen grammatically correct.

That's not very helpful without being more specific.

While Doors CSE 8 is probably going to get this feature, I don't intend to backport it to Doors CS 7 at all.
Ok. I don't really mind.
By that I mean "Your calculator crashed or reset. Stuff restored. For more information, go to dcs.cemetech.net" with maybe a Gossamer link.

The bolded text is what should be changed.
Can there be a shell expansion for the built in clock of the TI-84+ Series? If so, can you make one?
In 30 bytes, Kerm could add this feature, but he would also need a routine to detect if the clock is even on, or if the calculator is able to use a clock. This would be better suited to a Shell Expansion, though.
It would be nice to have a Mimas-style scrollbar in the Basic editor... It can be really frustrating when scrolling through a seemingly endless program with no idea where you're at.

Another thing that could be helpful is changing the "Goto" function on the Basic error screen. The TI-OS version of that will take you to the exact location the error occurred, while the DCS version only takes you to the beginning of the line.

This would be fairly easy to do as a shell expansion, but I do not beleive we have any good asm coders who are interested in the idea. especially since the clock is reset on ram clears, which happen often.

I agree, a scroll bar to tell you where you are at would be nice, but if your programs are that big, maybe it is time to split them up into multiple programs. maybe.

As for the goto error, that would be nice, but I beleive that bug ~might~ be fixed in DCS 7.3.
Would a password lock that only runs when you open doors be good? The shell expansion gets annoying because it prompts for a password whenever I open a folder, or cut/paste a file.
Updates/patches! Consider all features, and add them in Appvars! Then make the DCS code read them.

Yep, that's true. I don't have any intention to integrate a clock for this and other reasons. Thanks, Luxen.

Not to mention that a scrollbar is extremely hard to implement in the tiny amount of space I have for new features.

That's the plan.

To reiterate, Doors CS is at its end-of-life for support. I previously revealed this when I released Door CS 7.2. The 7.3 update is merely a courtesy/patch update.
Although this might be more a feature addition rather than a bug fix, for users who don't want to use the mouse, not being able to get past the splash screen without the mouse (we have to click the little X in the corner because no key seems to be able to close the splash screen) can be very annoying, especially on emulators where we often have to re-send files from scratch.

I'm glad this was solved in DCSE at least, although I guess that's because there's no mouse in it.

Then you can change the code to read appvars like I said above, so it can be patched and updated more.

Example:
DCS with no features except tabfuncs
Appvar for mouse
Appvar for cursor change
Appvars for all the other changes we suggested, or simply allow us to develop said Appvars.

I know that DCS is closed-source, but what about after support ends?
Eightx84, you dont understand. we are done working on DCS beyond 7.3. Done. nothing new will be added.

Meaning that it's becoming outdated and you are moving on to bigger, better calculators.

Great...

Well, I can't afford those "bigger, better calculators." But can you give me the code anyway for the clock? Also, I'm not good at asm. But I know how to compile it, thanks to your DCS SDK, Kerm.

Thanks.
I'm pretty sure that DCS will remain closed-source long after DCSE8 hits end-of-life support. though, Kerm has made a few exceptions before. I beleive, though, that the reason for this is that he has had his own work ripped off from him before, and we dont want any of that going on.

what would you use the source for anyways?
The DCS SDK has information on shell expansions, and I want to make one for the clock. Also, I want to write a program, so I am able to do math on the calculator, set DCS7 to run at startup and do everything from Doors CS7. That's why I would like the code for the clock. Also, Luxen, what do you mean by closed source?
